Samsung FF Rough Whirring Noise

I have a Samsung RSH1NHMH side-by-side which has been problem free since we got it 2.5 years ago.

Over the weekend I noticed a rough noise coming from it (like a dodge fan bearing sort of noise), which stopped with a slow grind when I opened the fridge (not freezer) door. I assume some sort of fan or motor.

This came and went over the weekend and into Monday and then it seemed to go back to normal.

There is a still a whirring noise (which is has always done on and off), although seems quite constant now (though obviously don’t listen to it all the time).

The fridge doesn’t seem as cold now as it used to. The freezer seems as cold as ever. Maybe this is my imagination though.

I have also noticed that previously, if I pushed on the doors (to check if closed properly for example) you would hear an air noise – as it it was sucking air out of the fridge. You no longer hear this – just silence if you push on the door.

Does this sound like a problem? And if so what might be the cause.

The FF is obviously out of warranty now so an indication of cost would be appreciated it a repair is necessary.
