samsung fridge

went to look at samsung fridge and found copper upto this dryer broke so removed part re-brazed to compressor and regassed etc, was told that part has to be fitted as fridge wont work well with out it.. do i have to refit part or new one?

Definitely needs a new dryer especially if the system was open with a broken pipe for any length of time…and make sure you thoroughly vacuum and flush too to make sure there’s no residual moisture!

Hi

This isn’t a drier. It’s a baffle and the unit will run quite happily without it. This was on the suction pipe normally just behind the compressor. Yrs hopefully you have changed the drier as this is good refrigeration practice.
