defrost it for 48 hrs – itll probably cure it!!!
long term? if it persists, it’ll need a thermal fuse, and evaporator cover
try it.. nothin to lose is there? (other than yer freezer food , just run it down 1st)
hope this helps

Thanks a lot, I’ll defrost it first and see how it goes. If I do end up needing a thermal fuse and evaporator cover about how much is that likely to cost ?

Have you read the Samsung SRS-20 thread? Is your problem as described? On mine the evaporator fan blade was striking the build up of ice behind the front panel and making a racket until it stopped because the fan was frozen into the ice.

I’ve had all the standard problems with my Samsung SRS2026CVW and I’m ready to try changing the thermal fuse, trouble is I can’t find anybody selling them for this model. Any ideas? Thanks, Simon.

Thanks for your speedy response Kwatt. I’ve had the fridge side of the F/F apart many times and this doesn’t look like anything I’ve got there, where should it go?
Thanks

KeymasterThere was a photo on here the other day in one of the many threads about these machines that showed it quite well if you have a look about. I forgot which one it was, but it’s recent.
