Would you know, directed to anyone this, whether or not it is normal to have to replace the water filter every 6 months in this product? At £54 a pop its not a cheap ‘must have’ accessory (that they dont mention when buying). Is there a cheaper way and are we killing ourselves if we only replace it once a year even if its been bleeping red for 6months?
    😕

As to killing yourselves…your water company would be in serious trouble if that were the case, the appliance will be connected to the mains water supply which is safe for drinking. The filter is primarily to remove any taste/odour etc from the water and ice, so you might want to ignore the filter change indicator and go by taste?
Some people do concern themselves with the trace levels of other chemicals in the water supply so if you’re really bothered you might like to check out the supply in your area?

If you dont think the filter requires changing just yet, press the ICE TYPE and CHILD LOCK buttons for at least 3 seconds, you will hear a beep and the indicator light will turn back to green. 😀

    Hi

If your appliance is still under the samsung warranty then using a none samsung water filter will void the warranty on the water valve of the appliance.
