Samsung Fridge Freezer Part Needed

Hi There,
I am trying to find a switch to replace a broken one on my Samsung Fridge Freezer (RSH7ZNRS-1XEU)for about 2 months now with no luck.
I have contacted Samsung, 4mysamsung, parts master etc but no one can order the part, as no one knows what it is called. I have attached a picture of the part along with its location on the fridge, so hopefully one of you amazing people can help me identify it 🙂

Without the switch the only thing that has stopped working is the ice machine will not dispense ice. It will make ice, and water still is dispensed. Also I thought it might be the open freezer door alarm, but the alarm does not go off.

Hi

If it is working and Samsung could never tell the engineers what the hell it is used or operating then join them together.
If samsung couldn’t tell the samsung engineers then you have no chance.

Join them together and you will find that you’ll not have a problem.

Thanks Bryan.

This issue is that the switch had accidentally been broken. As you can see the left hand side of the switch had snapped off. This then meant that the in out switch part fell off with all the spring, plastic bits inside. We just want to be able to use the ice dispenser without having to take it off everytime. As with getting help from Samsung, they were no help at all. I was on the phone to them for over half an hour with them telling me to contact my local Sainsburys and then Richer Sounds!!!!
The main issue is that I have not been able to ask an engineer. Only first line support.. This is now why I am on here trying to get some advice..

Also it is out of warranty, and I don’t really want to pay a massive pile of cash for an engineer to come out and replace a part that I can do myself…

Hi Nick

If it is only the ice maker not working then as advised join the 2 wires together as it is a on/off switch. By joining the wires together it will make the appliance think that the door is closed and will operate the ice maker.
