Help Please!
My Samsung free standing fridge over freezer that I have had for just on 6 years isn’t working so well! The freezer part is still working and the temp controls on the front of the fridge still show they are working! We contacted Samsung and they advised that we should get a registered company out to investigate. We did this and their engineer said its a PCB issue.
When we contacted them and also Samsung after this it turns out they cant seem to get hold of the PCB! I in turn have looked on E-bay and also Amazon and I think I can however, I want to make 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} sure I am buying the right board as there are two on the back of the fridge freezer.
The issue is with the fridge not cooling and apparently this is due to a flap at the back of the fridge not opening getting cooled down from the freezer air?? Not sure if this sounds right? They tested the actual part that does this, but that worked, meaning its something on the board that is stopping it working.
My question is would it be the Main PCB or the inverter PCB that needs to be replaced and then would it be worth trying to fix the old board?
Thanks

Moderatorfridges are not my main area but its very liklely it the main board. the inverter board is to power the compressor
did look up one main part supplier who says part is special order. does not mean its available. cant give correct part number as the sites often hide actual part no

ParticipantHi
Thanks so much for response.
Fridge display is what you select you want the fridge to be! It does not display what it actually is! It has a select button at the bottom! It says it should be 5deg.
I have managed to find a part on ebay. I decided to take a chance as the Boss has given me a time limit as its leading up to Xmas and I am now waiting for the part. Fingers crossed.

ModeratorI was also thinking as we dont know the engineers abilities
It could also be the fridge temp sensor as you only have his opinion its the board
