    Hi

I have got a American style Samsung Fridge Frezer and the freezer is playing up. It is about 5 years old and the freezr has started to stop freezing. The display will remin at -18 but checking inside the temperature will warm to room temperature. If you turn it off and on again the display shows the correct temperature and it all works and cools down to -18 but once it reaches -18 the fan stops and it starts to warm again but the display will show -18. If i put it on power freeze it appears to work fine.

Has anyone got any ideas to what this might be, i was thinking it might be the temperature sensor but turning it off and on again and it all works fine until it reaches the correct temperature?

Is there any problems if i just permanently leave it on power freeze will it burn out a motor or anything?

Any help will be greatly apreciated.

    Thanks

    Hi

Check the defrost heater,And or the heater plug as they tend to come out.

    Hi

Thanks for a quick response, can you help with more details about this? When you say the heater plug are you on about the sensor which connects next to the light plug. Also if the defrost heater was not connected would that not just stop it from defrosting as oppose to it warming up the freezer?

    Thanks

    Hi

No i mean the defrost heater plug. You could also try replacing the defrost sensor ( the yellow wires with either a white or black end )
