    Re: samsung fridges

    kr,

I see just fine what you’re trying to say. That basically we should tell everyone that that this is a known issue and that people should contact Samsung about it, well that’s just common sense to get it repaired.

Well, unless Samsung put out an official notification, modification or recall we can’t say that it is an issue that Samsung will look at. It’s that simple. We can say it’s a common fault, we can say that we see a few, but we don’t have the information to say that it’s an epidemic which, unless Samsung say otherwise it officially isn’t. In short it’s up to Samsung how they deal with the problem what we think isn’t really relevant in that respect.

The fact is and, I think, where you’re getting confused is that a lot of the repairers on UKW are Samsung repair agents. Now what you have to understand is that they work for Samsung they are not Samsung or a part of Samsung, they are merely paid to do the repairs. As I said in another post recently we dont’ care much who pays for the repair, Samsung, an insurer or an end user but, someone has to pay us and that’ll be that as we don’t go to work every morning for free just as no-one else does.

If you or anyone else doesn’t want to pay for a repair then that’s fine, it just means it’s up to the owner to sort the problem themselves. I’m sorry if that seems harsh but that’s the reality as we’re not in the business of working for free, just as I’m sure you’re not.

As for the one you have that isn’t faulty, we cant repair faults that don’t exist unless there is some sort of modification or a recall on the appliance which, as I said previously, there isn’t.

I would like to thanks this Forum for help in fixing my Samsung.

Sometimes things go wrong. The Service note that comes with the evap cover would suggest they are aware of the problems that occur and have produced a solution. Where they stand morally, on giving the solution to customers for free, is debatable

My Samsung failed after nearly 3 years, so I am pragmatic about it. I cannot fault engineers on this Forum.

And perhaps you might explain why the remaining 97{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of those sold do not have this fault ?

where did you find this information.it would be very useful..

samsung… do you think we make these figures up?

    things break down, problems occur

thing is, some people ask the question, and deal with it, others demand answers and expect everything done gratis

unfortunately, as we’ve all said, the worlds a changing place, technology is advancing at a rapid pace, and people demand low prices for up market equipment

and ill keep saying it… the guys on here (myself included) spend huge amounts of time advising people for no recompense whatsoever, so your comments, as you really need to appreciate touch a raw nerve.

a diffrerent approach might be in order… i dont know ANY other site on the net where you can get such good, honest advice.. i mean i could understand if we all just replied with ”ooh you got a problem, u need an engineer”

and i also think your comment about your 4th samsung (which isnt actually faulty) is funny.. what do you think theyre gonna do? fix the machine because you think it might go faulty at some point?

lol..so all the information you are spouting about this machine is from the company that makes them…well i should 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} believe it then,,,lol
also yes i do want it done free gratis..why shouldnt i ,,have i not just paid £££ amount of pounds for an item that has not even lasted 2 years…would you pay if you didnt have to..please remember any item sold witha fixed plug has 2 years warranty, even when this 2 year warranty is up.this does not just mean if all goes wrong then its nothing to do with the manufacturers..they have a duty to make a machine that will last..please check this if you dont believe me..
and the best lol yet..the 4th samsung…that has also had new parts fitted..see i dont want to get into a slanging match.. all i want is for enough people to complain to the manufacturers before coming on here and maybe paying for some thing they should not have to…

ALL appliances with a fixed plug have a 2 year warranty? you really need to wake up and smell what your shovelling dont you?

i wont bother responding to anymore of your posts, maybe you should spend more time complaining to the manufacturers than coming on here talking rubbish

Indeed. A manufacturer’s guarantee is NOT the same as the Sale of Goods Act.
