Switched the machine on ,it started to fill then stopped,it displays the fault code EE the first E has the top horizontal missing ,is it an incomplete E or an incomplete 6,checked the water is on and the filter is clear.
Have cleaned out the debris filter in the pump.Someone suggested it was the heater.
Just out of warranty as usual!!!

    Thanks Rob

    Hi

6E fault is water not heating ,heater resistance should be ~27 ohm .

Switch off at mains and pull plug out if investigating.

Thanks for the help ,turns out you were spot on(ish). The weights that stabilise the drum, one of the bolts had worked it’s way loose, the one just below the heater, one of the other bolts to the left of this had actually sheared off from the drum allowing the weight to drop down and knock out the wires to the central connection on the heater, which I assume goes back to central command ,therefore the machine got no report back that everything was ok so assumed the heater was kaput and wouldn’t start.Removed the weight connected the wires and off it went.
It had been making more and more noise over the last few weeks, meant to have a look but never got round to it,the weights becoming loose could be the reason for the reports of these machines being increasingly noisy, a good idea to check tightness of bolts and even add a bit threadlock as insurance.

    Thanks anyway
