Samsung model RS21DGRS

    HI all
    Please help,
    I have Samsung model RS21DGRS which is tripping the electric circuit as soon as I plug it in mains. I changed the Defrost heater but the problem is still there what do you suggest i should do now

    There are 2 defrost heaters, but changing them on the basis that they *might* be faulty is obviously a false economy as you have found out after changing a part and it not being the cause. Unless you have a megger and know how to use it, I’d suggest getting an engineer out to it or the alternative is to continue playing parts roulette and you might spend a huge amount and still not find the problem. There are many parts on this appliance that could potentially cause it to trip the electrics.

    It could also be the drain heater.

    Rare for a freezer heater to be faulty

    The only general faults on a RS21 to trip the mains is fridge defrost or drain heater or the compressor.

    It would need to be tested for earth faults with a. Meter as trial and error could cost more if you damage the consumer trip box.
