P1253 washer needs a pump which is an askoll a standard fits and works ok but the original had a sealed coil what is the purpose of this and is is of any significance? I would have changed the coils but the new askoll pump has been redesigned and would not fit.

    just curious wilf

The Samsung pump had a toc fitted as standard. They were either chinese where the impellor broke away or Brazillian copies of Askoll and were fitted with a toc because Samsung knew they were fitting junk. I have fitted both Askoll and Plaset with no problems.

Sort of related to this question, why don’t modern pumps have an earth connection? Are they classed as double insulated?
