Samsung Refrigerator/freezer ?

Hi, do any of you gentlemen have service information on a Samsung R521. A friend has volunteered my services to a family with one of these, apparently, the evapaporator froze up and stopped the fan, the son cleared the blockage and things started to work, but a week later the fridge is still not cold. As a newbie to refrigeration, (certs and insurance all in place)I don’t have much workplace knowledge but would like to help, one, to get them out of trouble, and two, to expand my own skills.

My initial thoughts are low gas causing the problem, but a skilled engineers thoughts would be greatly appreciated 😀

Plenty of info on these if you do a search, it is, by the way RS21 rather than R521. He may have “cleared the blockage” but that’s not to say he has rectified the fault.

It’s normally the fridge evaporator defrost NTC. Also check the evap heater and drain heater too.
The defrost circuit doesn’t remove enough ice and it builds up excessively and starts to scrape against the fan blades.
