Samsung rl33

    Hello, The above f/f is icing in the freezer below the bottom draw.
    You can see a thin stream of ice comming from behind the back panel. upon removal there is no ice build up. Would the heater be faulty and causing the drain to ice up if so which plug is it? thanks. any part numbers would also be appreicated.

    take the drip tray off or ase it down and there is a rubber spout. pull this off and throw it away the heat off the comp causes it to stick together causing water to build up on the base of freezer.

    I was once taught to put a piece of copper wire that runs from the tray defrost heater down about 1-2 inches into the drain hole. The idea being that a small amount of heat will travel along the copper wire in the hole thus preventing it freezing. “A heat transfer device in effect”

    Only done it a few times but never did know if it worked – not done it for a few years now…..

    Anyone else tried it.??.. just wondering if it’s successful or not.
