Hi all thanks to google I come across this great forum my 9 year old Samsung frost free fridge freezer has stopped working within the freezer side.No flashing lights etc woke up to a freezer full of defrosted waste food 🙁 the fridge side of it seems ok milk cold etc.I had the fridge freezer repaired in the past a few years ago the engineer replaced the full back panel in the freezer which consisted of a timer fan motor and a damper door which rotates and some wiring.I removed the plastic trim cover via the 4 screws and the snap fit fittings.The fan turns ok the grey door in top left keeps rotating then stops after a while.There is no sign of ice anywhere withing the working of the freezer blocking anything.All I can hear is a clicking possibly coming from the compressor its a jia xipera ZBS1115CY model the compressor runs for say 5 secs then you here the click and it stops its only luke warm to touch not red hot etc.What do you think could be the issue ive called a few engineers who state on the phone straight away £200 plus to replace and regas compressor etc.Which isn’t viable I think the unit was £300 when I purchased it.Is there any way of checking the compressor ? im confident in the use of a multimeter ill awit your replies many thanks 😉
