My first problem is the freezer does not defrost and the ice at the bottom has to be manualy removed. The second problem is a lound rattle/noisy fan noise coming from the rhs of the freezer when it goes through the freezer cycle. Is it worth repairing and can the spares be purchased?

    Thanks in advance,

I discovered the noise was caused by a loose choke/weight on the pipes in the back of the unit. There are several of these clipped onto the various pipes. hard to belive the noise it caused.

I still have the problem where ice collects at the bottom of the freezer. does this means the evaporater needs replacing or is there a blockage? I did read how to cure this problem but can no longer find which web forum it was on.

    Hi

Just above the compressor there is a black piece of rubber about 2″ Pull it off and then put in the bin. Defrost the unit for 24 hrs and restart.

    Hi,

I am not surprised you asked me to do this. The tube is pinched and probably too rigid to allow water through it.

    Thanks
