Hi,
I’ve had the usual fridge evaporator tray icing up problems in the 3 years that I’ve had the unit and last year Samsung replaced the evaporator tray assembly and sensor with the new versions. This seemed to fix the fridge problems.
Since Christmas however, I seem to be getting the same symptoms with the freezer: freezer not cold, noise from fan in freezer. I called Samsung but they were not interested as they said the extemded warranty only covered the fridge half of the product. They did send an repair man out but he simply removed the freezer panel and de-iced it, which of course he charged me for. Two months later and the same thing happened again, so I removed the panel and de-iced it myself. Another two months later and this time the panel is cracking due to the ice build up. So it looks like I need a new panel but are there any reasons why this ice should build up? Any known causes or recommendations?
