    Can anyone tell me if it is possible to change just the evaporator heater in the freezer, without replacing whole evaporator?

    yes it can be done, i would check if its defo the heater b4 changing it,
    never had to do one… change defo sensor 1st,…
    these are just badly designed and have ongoing issues with freezer evap over frosting…

    ps , you need to order whole evap assy and unclip heater..
