Samsung RS21

Hi everyone.

I have a Samsung RS21 that is just over 5 years old. The back of the fridge has all frozen up. I know this means a new evaporator cover. I am also having problems with the freezer. The diagnostics show both a fridge fan error and a freezer fan error.

The freezer is giving erratic temperature readings and is only freezing at the bottom.

I have removed the existing fridge evaporator cover and gone through the checks on your help page. I am getting a complete open circuit on all 3 multi plugs. (I unplugged the plugs and checked the resistance across the pins – is this correct?). Does this mean that the heater has failed as well. I am not sure where the thermal fuse is (probably buried in ice).

I also know that the water bottle is leaking and requires replacing after it froze.

Can you please give me some advice regarding the freezer problem, and a list of parts (with approximate prices if possible) for the fridge problem.

With all the faults above I am feeling that replacements parts and probably an engineer to do the work may make this not worth repairing.

Sorry for the long post, I am trying to be as detailed as possible.
