SAMSUNG RS21 JLSG – Ice Maker Only Works When Black Button Pressed?

Hi I have recently bought a Samsung RS21 JLSG F/F, Its working perfectly fine frezzer at -20 fridge at 3, the water works etc. The problem is with the ice maker, it works but only when you manually reset it, it wont work automatically, when you press the button for 2 secs. it rotates empties, then refills and that’s it..

I was thinking possibly the temp sensor on the bottom of the ice tray?

Any advice much appreciated

Hi Matt,

That’s a pretty old one, a decade or more and if it is the ice maker unit that’s gone I think it’s obsolete now.
