    Hi Peeps,
    Went out to this one a few weeks ago and guess what? Yes, it’s reared it’s ugly head again. Same fault Defrost error.
    Service manual Please, any additional help. Parts Changed already include:
    Defrost Sensor,
    Defrost Heater,
    Thermal Cut Out
    Refrigerator Evaporator Cover
    Help???
    Carried out diagnostic after completion and it was ‘Hunky Dory’

    I’d say you have possibly attached the thermal fuse to the heater rather than behind the evaporator. Heater will get hot enough to trip th/fuse if in direct contact….. PCb failure is very very rare. Did the heater work once all was replaced?

    Yes Bryan, It all worked and got a call back 3 weeks later.
    I’m sure I was very careful but it’s all possible. I’m due to go back today

    Hi Bryan, just letting you know that your call on position of the Thermal fuse was spot on. Replaced it with one in the correct place and all is good. Cheers, Chris.
