Samsung RS21 sxs defrosting.

Had a call to one of these replaced defrost sensor and thermal fuse due to ice build-up. Now freezer runs for 8-12 hours then alarms and flashing on freezer display. Any common problems with the freezer side?

Freezer light switch…. Does the light switch off. This is the only thing that will cause an audible alarm.

Sorry Bryan the alarm does not sound,added that by mistake. Just the display flashes.

Then most likely door has been left open. Freezer side very very rarely goes wrong. Vents at rear of freezer will have frost in and evap will be clear. Defrost and reboot.

what does the display flash ?.

According to the customer its just flashing on/off.

ask customer to press 2 top buttons together for 10 seconds – display will go blank and if there’s any errors stored the digital segments will flash – ask customer to record what segment is flashing – this is a fault code ..

freezer dont normaly go on these , and poss could be over ice like prev poster defrost and reboot … you can get the defo sensor going in freezer and fan .. but thats about it ..
