samsung rs21 water bottle replaced

Hi all HNY,, i swapped the water bottle in this american style F/F but now it is only half full of water and when the flap is released water keeps flowing for 5 seconds , ive checked the solenoid the hoses , no leaks anywhere , dunno what im doing wrong

If you replaced the water tank with the pipes the correct way around and no leaks then it is just an air lock in the system.

You just need to draw of several litres of water to clear the air lock.

Hi Bob , i thought that but i filled 6 litres of water into a bowl no change

You have fitted the water pipes the wrong way around. the air trapped in the tank is compressed by the water pressure and when the solenoid valve closes the air expands and continues to push the water out.

yeah i dunno it seems ive tried all of the above , maybe im missing something but the hoses actually relate to where they need to be routed , actually one of the hoses was v. long i cut at least 500mm off it , it does seem like an airlock as stated , i can see an air space at the top gallery , its always there when the bottle fills and you shut the flap killing the solenoid , the water keeps flowing leaving the air gap at the complete top gallery , i dunno

The water should enter the tank from the bottom pipe.

as bob said water bottle fitted wrong way round, remove put fit pipes other way round and it will work.
