ParticipantHi Guys,
I have a problem with the above regqards to the drink dispenser.
No water comes out out from the dispenser but the ice maker function works ok. I have checked the obvious like water supply and the blue valve at the back, but they are both working fine. When disconnecting the pipe from the valve and triggering the dispenser switch the water flies out of the valve fine.
It seeems to be a blockage in the line between the valve and the release pipe bit at the front behind the grill, but I cant get any acces inbetween, I have even tried fuse wire to clear a blockage but that only goes so far.
Any Ideas anybody please, my kids are doing my head in!!!

ParticipantRe: Samsung RS21DCNS
try turning the temp up 1st to 5
if that dont work, ull have to defrost it
similarly, if u take out the second bottom drawer in the fridge, you’ll see the water chamber at the back
warm it up with a hairdryer, it usually works

helo_75: Crikey, that’s sad to hear 😥
I’d have thought people would just use the “ignore” button if they’re reading stuff that they judge to be unhelpful. Personally I’ve never done this, but it is an option, rather than getting upset about anything. IMHO.

Hi Craig
The cause of the problem you are having is due to the evaperator cover having failed, thus allowing the temprature on the evaperator to transfer through it and freeze the water tank which is behind the bottom 2 vegtable drawers.
turning your settings to 5 will not fully cure the problem as it will eventually sooner than later cause the fridge to stop cooling.
If the fault isnt repaired then it may cause the water tank to split which will of cause increase the repair costs.
hope this helps

Normally this fault occurs with the 24 month warranty-give Samsung a call and they will send an engineer to replace the evap cover.

Thermal fuses are quite reliable and unless you are placing them in the incorrect possition they would normally not fail.
Unless the thermal fuse is open circuit then there would be no reason to change them.

As mentioned above, if the unit is under two years old-give samsung a call. the Plenhiem (evap cover)and thermal fuses are common parts so its likely that the engineer the repair is sub contracted to will be able to do the repair on the first visit
