ParticipantHave got a Samsung RS21DCNS FRIDGE/FREEZER that works perfectly fine, achieves temperature in both fridge and freezer sections but once it has achieved its set point and the compressor knocks off,the main pcb emits clicking sound(possible relay chattering on board). Also does this when in itially puting power onto cabinet during time delay before compressor kicks in.Before forking out for a potentially expensive circuit board are there any underlying issues that can cause this or somebody who can repair the board(replace faulty relay if necessary)Any views or thoughts as to cause of problem would be appreciated, thanks.

*Warning* PCB repairs require professional attention … Not repairing correctly can cause fires or electric shocks.
This sounds similar to a few Whirlpool issues… Capacitors go weak, not creating enough power for relays to operate properly…
If the power going into the relay is low the capacitor that is inline before the relay may be the cause of the fault.

Hi
This fault isn’t a common one and in 10 yrs i haven’t seen one do this.Where a bouts in the country are you as it sounds like you will need an engineer.IF you want to change the pcb yourself then yes I do have then in stock.

ParticipantI have similar problem with my Samsung American style fridge freezer model rsj1jemh, pcb on top of fridge clicking noise ,now nothing working i take it its the relay but not sure.

Moderatorthe noise will probably be a relay as its the only mechanical device on the board but its unlikely to be the relay causing the fault
