    I think I have a similar problem with my RS21DCSV to many other people however before I buy any parts I want to be sure that I have done everything to identify the problem correctly.

    The only symptom I have is the water dispenser stopping working, everything else seems to be working fine. Checking the forums here points me to the fact that the water tank is frozen and this is caused by a problem with the evaporator cover or possibly the defrost system.

    From what I can figure out the diagnostic check for the Samsung is to hold the top two buttons on the control panel, although I am not cetain about this. I pressed and held them for a few seconds until there was a beep, all of the lights on the display flashed once and then it went completely blank, there were no indicators lit at all. Holding the button buttons again reset the display to normal.

    Have I done this correctly and am I right to interpret no lights as no fault found?

    Are there any other checks I can carry out to confirm that it is just the evaporator cover that needs replacing or is this fairly conclusive?
