    Hi all

I need to remove the dispenser cover to access the Ice-route gasket which has become detached and is causing an ice build-up in the dispensing chute. Looking at an exploded diagram of the assembly there appear to be 2 clips/lugs on the bottom edge and what I think is a strip of double sided adhesive foam strip near the top. If this is correct I presume I need to work some sort thin non-metal tool in from the top to break the adhesion of the foam/tape and pull downward and away from the door to detach it. To re-fix it I assume the adhesive strip needs to be replaced before re-attachment. Could anyone familiar with this model advise me accordingly.
    Thanks in anticipation

    Nooo not from the top.

A blunt dinner knife size lever at the bottom of the cover there is 2 insert points, gently lever towards you and unclip bottom to the sides equally and work upwards. Just so happens that’s what I’m working on in the workshop now..

Job done! Just have to wait for it to produce some ice cubes but the mechanism all seems to be working. That’s saved £95, the last fault cost me that, turned out to be a loose wire it took the engineer longer to fill out the docket than do the repair. His tongue in cheek parting comment was “at least you did not have to fork out for spare parts”
    Brilliant help! Thanks again r600a
