Hi Folks,
I bought my Samsung RS21FCSV about 5 years ago in the UK, and I now live in Spain near Denia. My Samsung has now stopped working. Prior to this it seemed fine although my water filter light was showing.
When I plug the appliance in, a loud clunk occurs (the solenoid?)and my water dispenser works fine. But all of the controls do not work. The only part on the panel that shows a sign of life is the Fridge Temp. display. The greyed out “88” of the display is not lit apart from the top segement of the right hand side ‘8’ which flashes on and off about once per second.
I can’t hear any motor/compressor noise. I have taken all the shelves out and it currently sits empty. We are using a small standby fridge now, but with the high temperatures of summer coming, we urgently need our Samsung back! :eeek:
As a pensioner money is tight, but I figure that if I could get a diagnosis/repair pack or a repair person it would be a cheaper option than buying new…I’m an ex electronics engineer so could probably follow a repair kit instructions if that was the only route. No one seems to offer Samsung repairs here in Spain! 😥 Kind Regards, Dave Litten.

The fault lies with the ice maker which you will need to replace.
