ParticipantAfternoon All.
I have a Samsung RS21FCSV. Yesterday we noticed that under the pull out icecube unit that is at the top of the freezer section, ice had started to build up underneath the unit and also on the surface of stored food boxes.
We took out the unit and emptied out all the ice and also turned off the ice makeing facility.
We installed the icecube unit back within the freezer and ice has once again started to build up on the bottom of the ice cube holder.
What can be done to stop the ice forming?
Thanks.

with the freezer door open, look down the chute ( from inside ) that the ice drops into to dispense, and see if there is daylight . the “door” that shuts when the ice has dropped can break, allowing ambient air back into the freezer and then forms ice droplets

Hi.
Thankyou so much for the reply.
That looks to be the problem. On the back of the flap that secures against the door, there is a clip that looks like it clips into the mechanism that operates the flap.
It appears that it just needs clipping back in. Is there a way to gain access or do I just put my hand inside the chute and try to clip it back in?
Can I also say a big thankyou to you for such a swift reply.

unplug the fridge 1st , then from the outside of the door , very gently pry and lever the plastic frame that surrounds the dispensers and has the display inside – it just clips in all round, no screws . then support the dangling panel while you look at the chute mechanism … it should be obvious what goes where . then just clip the surround back on and plug back in 😆

No problem , hope it goes well ; just remember the plug needs to come out before the panel comes off , and not plugged back in until the panel is safely clipped back on . 😆
