Samsung RS21WCNS Fridge freezer, Fridge not cold

Hi all, Sold one of these used Samsung fridge freezers to a local customer. He complains that after a few days the fridge becomes warm even though the digital temperature read out indicates the temperature is correct. If the unit is un- plugged then plugged back in, the temperature read out then correctly displays the excessively warm temperature, it then goes on to cool the fridge correctly for a couple of days before the the original problem returning. I have heard that the evaporator fan cover can cause problems by jamming the fan, but if this was the case surely the temp read out would show the excessive temp? Do I possibly have a temp sensor problem? Any ideas welcome as I am not too familiar with this range of fridge freezers. Thanks

defrost sensor,heater,thermal overload all in the fridge.

thanks for the info , is it possible to get a service manual for this Samsung so I can familiarise myself with the intricate workings of this model as I have no previous experience of these American style fridge freezers

Ok, have had a more detailed look at this problem and it seems the main defrost heater has gone OC, it should read 480 ohms, but this one is completely OC. Does anybody know if the defrost heater is available as a spare part or does one have to replace the whole evaporator?
Thanks for any help as I would like to draw this one to a conclusion that leaves me a little profit :o)

normally come with the evaporator but u can un clip the heater from them so no need to change evap. 😀

fridge defrost heater is now available on it’s own , whereas you used to have to get it as part of evaporator assy 😀

would aslo test drain hole heater … common fault

evap assy with heater da96-000013h
cant remember drain heater …

you should get your customer to call samsung and get safety fuse kit done if its not already been done ..

and if your lucky they might repair fridge fault aswell
