Display did flash for freezer apparently, but it’s not doing that now.
Checked evap coil, covered in only light frost but more than usual. Fan covered in frost too.
Anyone know what the bimetal switch on these evaps are for?

Heater measured at 290ohm resistance, thermal fuse OK, fan operates.
Forced defrost and heater drawing 0.9A, though never really got hot, just tepid.

    No fault in diagnostic mode.
I know that the flashing display is normally related to open circuit in the defrost circuit, but heater and fuse good.
Looked up some info and found that likely causes for fault are heater or freezer temp sensor fault.
But still don’t know why the weak defrost and early termination before the coil fully defrosted.

    Re: samsung rs25 freezer warm

Im having the same problems as you and have gone without my freezer for a few months now if anyone could help to fix the freezer side 5d be very grateful. Im gonna keep checking back here to see.

I didnt do all the checks paul did as im not very technical unless somone gives me guidance. I did fix the Thermal fuse on the fridge side of my RS25 so i could possibly fix the freezer. Do you know of any guides for the freezer side paul?
