KeymasterHi guys,
I NEED HELP with SAMSUNG RS68N8330B1/EU American Style Fridge Freezer – Only 2.5 years old.
My Samsung RS8000 Series (RS68N8330B1/EU) American Style Fridge Freezer, started playing up a month ago. The Freezer first became frosty inside for a couple days which it is not suppose to do as its frost free. Then I got water on the floor under the freezer area and the ice in the icemaker melted at least one quarter, with frost/ice stuck all down the freezer door.
Now the ice maker does not make ice.
The Freezer temperature is supposed to be -19. But it is fluctuating on its own between 8c and 5c, even when set on -19. It starts freezing and working if power-freeze is activated. Once the power freeze automatically turns off after 48 hours then things start defrosting again…. If I repeat the power-freeze function same thing happens, freezer starts working for 48 hours but temperature still shows between 5 and 8c, no where near -19. A square pcb at the back around 13*13cm has been changed but still same problem continues.
The appliance is 2 and a half years old and was quite noisy since purchased from new. The fridge works fine and the temperature is accurate and sets on whatever you set it on. However the fridge does not seem as cold as it used to, maybe that’s just because its winter and I can’t tell as much??
I have left it turned off overnight to see if that fixes it as well as resetting it by holding in the two temp setting buttons, still no luck!
Has anyone has this problem? OR can advise of a fix?
Any help is much appreciated.

Hi Dave,I have not tried a total defrost, the fan is fine and fully working though…..I may try a total defrost at some point when I don’t have as much food in the fridge…

True…… I don’t have a freezer box though….. I was doing some further research on the internet and came across this vid: –

was wondering if it could possibly be the Thermal Fuse in the Freezer Compartment?

ModeratorIf you do a total defrost you may find out
if it works ok for a while after you defrost it and then fails again it proves it’s getting frosted up. At that point you can summize it may be the thermal fuse or the heater
