    Hi

I’ve had this FF since 2011 and have never had any issues with it, until now. It has sat in the same place all these years.

My fridge is working OK, set at 2°C. The freezer display is showing that it’s at -25°C (which is what I’ve set it to), however it’s actually much warmer than that. Using a thermometer inside the freezer, the temperature hovers around -8°C and at other times it’s higher, at around -2°C.

Things I’ve checked so far in the freezer:
There are no fault codes showing up on the main display panel.
The LED on the main PCB is a solid red.
The compressor can be heard to be working.
    The fan is working OK.
I’ve tested the freezer temperature sensor using a multimeter (on ohms) and that gave expected readings, depending on the current room temperature and also again when dipped into ice cold water. I even tried replacing it for a new one, but that didn’t make any difference.
I’ve also tested the defrost heater temperature sensor using a multimeter (on ohms) in the same way as the above and that was also ok.
I tested the defrost heater using a multimeter and it gave a reading of 205 ohms. When I left the inside cover off, it started to freeze up, which I assume proves that the compressor is working OK.
I’ve checked the back of the FF and have vacuumed all of the dust. I opened the panel at the bottom and vacuumed the dust in there as well.
I checked the grille at the bottom front, but there was no dust build up in there. I can feel hot air coming out from there.
The ice maker is working OK with the temperature setting at -25°C. This initially stopped working when the freezer temperature was set to -18°C (which is what I usually have it set to) and this is when I realised that items in the freezer weren’t as cold as expected. However the ice maker has kicked back into life after I lowered the freezer temperature to -25°C.

I’m a bit confused as to why the freezer temperature display is showing as -25°C but the actual temperature of the freezer is around -8°C.

Any idea what could be wrong or anything else that I could test? Would appreciate any advice.

    Thanks.
