Samsung RSG5UCRS American Fridge/Freezer Ice Auger/Crusher Fault

Hello,

I have the above appliance of which the Ice Auger will not rotate. I have replaced the Auger Motor(DA31-00210E) with a new one, but the auger will still not rotate.

I have just had to replaced the Ice Route Cover on the ice dispenser after one of my grandchildren stuck a peg in the dispenser and broke when it was next used, but cannot remember if the auger was working at this time. It wasn’t until I replaced this that I realised the auger was not working in crushed or cubed mode and not dispensing the ice.

Display LCD is working fine. Done the error code thing and no errors come up. Only thing I noticed on the display is all the same dim colour, except when I press the cubed or the water button, which works fine, the symbols for these are of full brightness. but can’t say if it has always been like this.
Could it be the gear motor(DA31-00079A) needing replaced?

So any help on what to try next would be great.
