Hi Guys I’m after some help with an Samsung RSH1 FF, i don’t normally work on these but its for a member of the family, its doing the typical ice in fridge/warm fridge, i looked over it and the Evap NTC is stuffed, no change in resistance no matter what i stick it in, boiling or ice water its 3kohm, looking across the web its very common, now iv seen several kits to repair,

option 1 just replace the ntc,

option 2 iv seen a kit that relocated the new ntc to the other end of the evap on the suction tube and includes 2 spacers to help airflow and you change the defrost temp of the fridge.

option 3 is a kit with new multi flow, defrost heater and ntc and seems to be a samsung repair kit,

any on which to go with ? oviosly there is a huge price difference between the three, its a late 2008 model

Replace the defrost sensor and place it on the capillary higher up,

Check thermal fuse also as these constantly fail, after switch on machine and hold the top left and bottom right buttons for 15 seconds, power freeze and vacation I think??

it will beep after 10 but 15 seconds beeps and this is the defrost temperature settings.

Set the first option to 3 this is the freezer side and set the next option to 13 this is the fridge

You have now changed the temperature at which the defrost cuts off and cooling returns.

This is what samsung specify but the original NTC also reaches the capillary fine.
Personally I think a change in Def. Times is the fix. And raising the probe is a precaution

    Hope this helps
