Samsung rsh1d88p ser no 88794280300183m cx says freezer not cold enough is this sensor fault as had local service force team out took one look and said need new pcb £300 for board gov plus fitting so be over 400 quid

Even at connects prices thats steep.You’ll find that they didn’t know what they was doing so over priced the repair.(silly thing to do).would be more like £100.
Without seeing what is happening with the evaperator you can’t tell as it’s not a normal common fault. Tell the customer to leave it on and they go out and have a look at the evaperator. Is it frosted over ? is the fan running ? .
