samsung RSH1DBBP fridge dain blocked

Anyone come across the fridge drain hole blocked before?
I’ve tried boiling water,steamer (which normally melts any ice) and long cable tie from both ends but can’t seem to unblock it!
other than going back with some stiff wire, are there any other suggestions?

if its ice have you tried adding a bit of salt to try and melt it ?

thanks Dave, I’ll try the salt although i’ve never had a problem not being able to melt the ice with the steamer in the past!

is there not a little gauze filter thing in these pipes? Had a rusty evaporator tray once and all the rusted bits were sitting on this filter in the pipe blocking it. Had to remove pipe from back to clean out.

Get yourself a wallpaper stripper and don’t use the plate just point the hose down the drain. then remove the one way rubber valve and leave it off.

OR remove the rubber flap on the end of the drain tube and put your steamer nozzle up there and have a cup of tea- eventually it will shift

done that guys thanks. when I went back it had cleared, so must have just been solid with ice. Not had one that bad before!
