Samsung s2028cvw strange problems

Hi,

Hope someone can help me as this is rather a strange problem. A few weeks ago the fridge/freezer needed switching off for more than a day whilst we had some electrical work done in the kitchen. Upon switching it back on the fridge would not go below 14 degrees or so although the freezer still worked as normal, there was quite an increase in noise also which stopped with the door open and commenced again within a few seconds of closing it. I left it a couple of days and it returned to normal. A short while later we needed to switch it off again to conclude some of the electrical work but this was only for an hour or so. The same thing happened only this time it did not return to normal after more than a week. So 2 days ago I switched it off again but this time overnight in an attempt to repeat the first occurrence where it returned to normal. No joy, and worse, it now makes no noise, lights are on inside, although neither the fridge nor the freezer are achieving temperature, and a single cell on the front panel (bottom right most of the refrigerator temp readout) flashes constantly.

Any ideas, is it goosed 🙂
