Fridge freezer 6.5 yrs old nd has worked fine by and large for that period. Suddenly now it trips the electrical circuit when turned on. Have tried it on several circuits and all trip out. First few times the lights came on and then it tripped – now it just trips straight away and is stone dead. Please help……. Can this be fixed at a reasonable cost or do we need to bin it ?
That’s one of those “impossible to remotely diagnose” things I’m afraid. 😕
In short, it could be anything from a simple bust mains block to a compressor failure and there’s no way to know (barring something glaringly obvious shorted) what the problem is without sitting down and going through the machine.
Thanks for the quick reply.
Going through the whole machine sounds costly?! Thinking call-out costs + labour etc.
Potential problems like compressors …are they expensive?
