SAMSUNG SR-20/SR-22 Freezer problem

Hi,

I have a problem with my Samsung SR20 american style fridge/freezer, in the freezer part only the bottom half is freezing but the top half is not.

Any ideas what the problem may be and whether its worth fixing/calling out an engineer or should I just replace it since it is over 7 years old.

This will be worth calling an engineer as it is most likely a defrost fault or the fan motor.

You can try turning it off for 48hours with the doors open.

If when when you turn it back on it cools down ok after a few hours then it is a defrost fault.

If the problem then returns in a few weeks then you will need an engineer to fix the defrost system.
