    Hi Guys,

Can you give some advice on my fridge freezer please. It works, once it cuts off, it doesnt restart. I can manually make it to work by switching the power off and starting again. I got an engineer to have a look. He said it is to do with PCB (I believe it is the brain). He replaced it (130+40service charge). Hasnt made any change. I managed to get him to change the PCB back. Any ideas?

I’m not too familiar with the machine but, is the compressor very warm when it cuts out?

My thinking is that it could be overheating and cutting out on the TOC which you’re resetting by power cycling. If that’s the case it will be either the compressor or relay/klixon if it’s not one of the newer electronic affairs that’s on it.

    Thanks for that
How do you open the back side of fridge? Mine has a small metal window at the bottom which can be unscrewed, and has a big metal panel covering everything else. This looks sealed. Any ideas

If it runs for 5-6 hours before cutting out, it will be a defrost fault (either thermal fuse or defrost heater).
p.s. is this a spanish bought appliance? I don’t think this model was for uk?

What temp is the display panel reading for the fridge and freezer as one or both thermistors could be faulty.

The freezer is set at-19. When you switch the power off it goes blank and it needs to be reset.
It is actually an UK model
