Hi, We have a Samsung SR-L36 which has run perfectly for 4yrs until a week ago. Now the fridge warms to 12 C before the the compressor kicks in and then it chills it back down to 2 C. It then repeats this process all over again. The freezer compartment does similar, ie it gets down to -20 C and then warms to about 0 C.
It used to always run with two green LED’s showing, I’ve tried every permutation of one to five LED’s but no joy.
Is one of the thermostats a faulty?
I’ve checked that the fan is working, ensured that the light switch operates correctly (packing stuck to the top of the door) all the internal vents are unobstructed. The drain hole is clear as there is no water inside the freezer as the Evapourator? (the silver pipework behind the fan panel) is clear of any ice.
Any ideas please before wifey buys a new one!

    Thanks
    Jeferz

    Hi

It’ll be within the defrost area, either the defrost heater or defrost sensor.
