    I am having an issue with a Samsung SR-S2026CVW. The fault appears to be quite common having searched the forum. Everything runs fine until it goes into defrost and then it gets stuck. Resetting the power brings it back to life until the next defrost. I gather that this is either the thermal fuse and or the evaporator probe. To confirm it also has a fault code of 4 displayed during the diagnostic test at start-up. Has anybody got a service manual for this unit or can they confirm the fault code/diagnosis and subsequent locations of the offending items.

    to be honest, its more likeley the defrost heater thats the problem

    its a simple test with a meter
    and its probably worth checking the sensor/thermal fuse.. cos they come as a complete evaporator unit, with all attatched

    Is this the model that is referred to in the RS20 and RS21 article? I had a look but I’m not familiar with the Samsung units at all. The method for obtaining fault codes isn’t relevant on this unit either.

    Do you know what the reading should be for the sensor?
