    Our twin fridge freezer we realised in the hot spell -had thawed and to almost 0 freezer and almost room temp fridge. When switched off and restarted it regained the selected temp -18 and 3 but once the cooling cut off it did not cut in again to hold temperatures and started to thaw out again. WE repeated this several times then had to clear all as we were going on holiday – now back and need urgently to fix – see similar problems on forum but not sure what spares I need to fix.

    Bob and Bryan know these far better than I do but, on the face of it, that sounds like it may be a refrigerant system issue. Which means it won’t be a DIY repair.

    Seems to me like a sensor as compressor working fine and actual refrigeration working fine. Am quite capable of fitting a sensor but just not how to establish what one is needed -more used to engines, washing machines etc
