ParticipantI have a Samsung SR-S2028CVW American style fridge/freezer. My problem is the Ice compartment is not getting any water. There is water getting to the water dispenser on the front of the freezer, but there is nothing filling the ice tray.
If there is a blockage I can not see how I get to the pipe to see where it is?

Hi
Have you tried resetting the ice maker ?
Hold the small black button in for approx 10 seconds on the botton of the square box on the front of the ice maker.

KeymasterInlet blockage or inlet valve failure.
Ours gets blocked due to the gunk in the water every few years and I have to change the valve. 😕

Hi
It’ll either be the water valve or the Ice maker itself.First test would be the water valve unless the engineer has an ice maker then that would be the easier option.

KeymasterCan the delivery tube/hose freeze on them Bryan? Mine does on occasion and I have manually clear it on the Maytag, not often it has to be said that I have to do it, but it does happen.

Hi K
Frozen fill pipe not an issue on these unlike several others, even when the water valve drips due to non sealing it doesnt freeze up.

Where do I locate the inlet valve to the ice maker. And is it easy to replace if it is the problem?
Thanx

Hi
The water valve is at the rear of the appliance behind the bottom panel, unles you know how to use a meter then you wont be able to test it…POWER OFF before removing panels.
