Hi all ,

I am having a problem with a side by side samsung, originally the system would not allow changes and could not self test. a new main pcb was fitted and since then it runs down to temp and then turns off and stay off. but if you turn off mains and restart it runs down to temp and then off again.

would welcome any suggestions, samsung are useless for tech back up

There is a problem with the defrost cycle, probably a Thermal fuse blown or defrost NTC sensor. The Thermal fuse should have a circuit through it and the resistance will change as the temperature of the defrost sensor changes (warmer temp lower resistance value)
