Samsung srl3928b problems F/Freezer problems

Hi all, i have a problem with my f/freezer, it gets down to temperature switches off then doesn’t restart again, untill i switch it off then back on again…….runs tidy for a few hours then stops again…..very annoying as its a good fridge and only 5 years or so old.
i had an engineer round….a friend of a friend who said it was irrepairable, but being a mechanic i don’t believe him as with a bit of work anything can be fixed.
looking through forums ive picked up some advice…….
ive changed the PCB…… still the same and after reading some posts here, espeicially by r600a im going to go with the defrost heater,
can anyone point me in the right direction on where to get one and also is it a job i could do? or does it need de-gassing before hand……..i am quite technically minded and being a mechanic i will turn my hand to most repairs of any kind

Simple fault…Defrost heater open circuit.

Samsung RL33SBSW1 problems F/Freezer problems

Hi all, i have a problem with my f/freezer,
Just about 18 months ago started building up Ice at the bottom of the freezer and one morning f/freezer stopped working,but light was still on.After maybe 12 hours(food got completly defrosted),However without touching F/freezer starded to run it self again.We thought It was miracle 😮 because bulding up ice stopped and everything seemed to worked fine.Until it stopped to run again.. so I switch it off then back on again…….runs tidy for a few hours then stops again…..I can see a wee bit of ice at he bottom of the freezer… very annoying as its a good fridge and only runs 5 years or so.

can anyone point me in the right direction on where to get one and also is it a job i could do? or does it need de-gassing before hand.
