    Hi

As advised the defrost heater or thermal fuse will normally be at fault but it’s a rare model as not many was sold in the UK of this model and it has a different heater and evap cover to the RS21.

You have a line tap valve fitted on this one the silver valve in the service pipe to the compressor.

So this shows it has been regased at some point.

The ice build up at the back shows it is overcharged with refrigerant.

This is made worse by having to unplug it to reset as the defrost system will not be working correctly.

Once the defrost fault is sorted if it is still iceing up then you will need some of the refrigerant taken out.

    hi guys

appreciated for yr responses, i have had the defrost heater and temp senors replaced,a ll seems to be working fine, i just need to clarify, one of the things i noticed, all the temp seems to be correct now, what i noticed is the fridge, really quiet, as i couldnt hear anything from the compressor, is that due to the temp being set, or the compressor needs to be runnign all the time when the door is opened?

    many things
