    Hi there,

I’ve got a Samsung RSG5UCRS SxS that appears to have an issue (I believe) with the TDM not sending coolant to the Freezer evap (Freezer never cools down at all, fridge working fine). Here’s what I’ve checked/diagnosed so dare:
    – The front display in diag mode isn’t throwing any errors (even after ~12 hours of running)
    – Compressor (inverter model) seems to be running OK, not noisy.
    – I’ve unplugged the TDM valve and tested resistance and theres no open or shorts I can find but unsure of what exact resistance values should have been (77ohms on some and 36ohms on some from memory).
    – Unit has also been unplugged to 3 days in an attempt to reset it.

How do I test further and confirm if TDM is faulty or main board? I understand signals sent to the stepper motor would be hard to test without an osciliscope and I’m just armed with a multimeter.

    Many thanks,

    Liam

Or any other recommendations that this issue could be?

I managed to run the test mode with fridge off and force freezer on and finally the freezer started to work (top of the evap started to get frosted and left for a good 8 hours and freezer reported it was at -24 (target temp). Whilst definitely now cold, didn’t quite feel like that but no thermometer to confirm this. That suggests the TDM may indeed be working and just needs a re-gas I believe. Are there any other opinions on this?
