ParticipantHi there,
I have a Samsung Sensor Quiet (SQ1291). Since a few days I encounter a problem. When the washing program starts, the machine fills up with water. No problem there. Then, for a short time the the display show the remaining washing time, the machine beeps several times end the display shows the error code ‘ Eb’. It doesn’t start rotating at all.
Does anyone know what the problem is e.a. how I can solve it?
Thx, Bill

KeymasterHi Bill,
It points in the direction of the motor being faulty I’m afraid which may well not be good news as they ain’t cheap. It may also be a PCB fault, but according to the info I have the motor is the most likely culprit.

Ok, thanks. I was hoping that it might be the door-close protection switch or the pressure switch (water level). If it’s the motor, I probably better look out for a new washer 😉

Oh, and by the way. I forgot to tell that about a week ago I got the same problem. Then, after turning off and on the machine, the problem was solved.
Maybe, this means that it ain’t the motor (I surely hope so).

Hi Guys,
If you can get a part number for the motor i have 4 samsung motors brand new. I will hunt them out for the part number on the box and if you require one i am sure we can sort something out. The motors i have are for the Samsung P1205, P1405 and P1005Sparkyp

Hi all,
A little correction to the problem stated in the first post. It’s not error code ‘ Eb’, but ‘E6’. Silly me, I was thinking the 6 was a b 😳
Does anyone have a list of error codes for the samsung aparatus. I presume there is some Samsung standard(?)

KeymasterE6 is indicative of a heating circuit failure, but that could be caused by any one of a few components.
We do have error codes lists for many appliances but we can’t publish them, hence the poll I put on the front page. Even if we were allowed to publish a “short” form of them it would be a help, but many manufacturers wish them to not be in the public domain I’m afraid. 🙁

E6 is Heating Element or Thermistor. I would check these first or have an engineer check this first
Kind regards
