    Could someone tell me if this is the correct pump for my samsung washing machine model number J1253 and is it straight forward enough to fit myself?

    Yep – but make sure you are disconnected from the electric when you change it over, as you have a permanent live supply connected and it might give you a tickle and blow the electronic board up if you dont.
